“Beautiful understated and timely art. My wife will wear it as often as she can!”
Loomed bead by bead in To'hajiilee, New Mexico, by Diné artists, enrolled members of the Navajo Nation. More than 1,200 glass beads, on leather, made to be worn every day.
The Hyacinth is from the Bramble Collection. The Bramble pattern is a mountain range: New Mexico's winter horizon at twilight, snowy plains giving way to purple peaks against a silver sky. The berry tones feel right for the holidays and quiet enough for every other month.
Shop the Bramble Collection →- Length: 6 inches, with an adjustable copper opening that fits most wrists
- Width: Small just under ½ inch, Medium ½ inch, Large 1 inch
- Japanese glass beads, loomed by hand
- Leather backing, sourced in the USA
- Native American made
- Arrives in a black Etkie box with a card carrying the name of the artist who made your cuff, and an insert about the artists
Every cuff is 6" long with a semi-flexible copper band inside the leather, so one size fits most wrists. Place it on your arm above the wrist bone, rotate it into position, squeeze it gently around your wrist, then press the edges down to set it. To take it off, lift the edges gently and rotate it off with your thumb pointing up. Don't overextend it, as that can damage the beads.
We photograph each design as accurately as we can, and small differences in bead placement and color are part of how it’s made.
Silver is the hardest to photograph. It reads flatter on screen than it does on the wrist, and it looks better in person.
